South Corvallis Food Bank seeking volunteer board members

The South Corvallis Food Bank, located at 1798 SW 3rd Street is seeking volunteers for our board of trustees. The food bank has been in existence since 2001 and is a financially stable and very active organization. We have over 65 volunteers who keep the food bank running and serve about 300 households representing over 1,000 individuals each month from south Corvallis and the downtown area.
Our board meets once a month on a Monday evening. In addition to attending these meetings, some board members assist with food deliveries, help to schedule and coordinate volunteers, help with fundraisers or volunteer shifts at the food bank. How much time a board member contributes is very flexible and depends on the individual’s interests.
