Greetings -

The new Climate Science unit in OSU's College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences is proud to kick off its first-ever colloquium series this spring with a lecture by our own Professor Peter Clark.

 

One if by land, two if by sea: A revisionist history of the Ice Ages and implications for future climate and sea level

Tuesday, April 7, at 7pm on the OSU Corvallis campus and online

 

Peter Clark is a University Distinguished Professor in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences, and was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in recognition of his extensive contributions to our understanding of Earth's climate and sea level. In this talk he will summarize his new research on the history of the Ice Ages that provides new insights into the future of our climate.

Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR is located within the traditional homelands of the Mary's River or Ampinefu Band of Kalapuya.  Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya etc. Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations in Western Oregon.
