Hi friends,
Many of you joined us for Sarah Jaquette Ray's event at PRAx last month. It was heartening to gather with undergraduate students, community members, and local leaders to listen, reflect, and grapple with how to stay grounded, resilient, and honest in a time
of overlapping crises.
In case you missed the news, Spring Creek Project is hosting a book group on March 10 to discuss Sarah's book
A Field Guide to Climate Anxiety. If you'd like to join:
-
-
Bring your copy of the book to the book group on
March 10 at 5:30 p.m. in the PRAx Classroom (Room 234)
-
Read the book beforehand, or read sections that feel most relevant to you
-
Join us and fellow community members in a thoughtful discussion about how our emotions intersect with our climate advocacy
The book group discussion will be led by OSU professor David Wrathall, who has a deep history with Sarah's work and the topics she presents. In the classroom and beyond, David has shared meditation, body awareness, and other techniques to cope in a mindful
and healthy way with the emotional landscape of confronting climate change.
We hope to see you there!
