Greetings everyone,
I'm getting ready to submit an Action Review Form on a new community science project. I'd like our city to take more seriously the transportation goal of shifting transportation mode share from automobiles to active transportation and transit. The first step is to find out what our transportation mode share statistics actually are and focus attention on what other cities have actually done to increase active transportation and transit trips. Please see the attached document for the details.

As part of the review process, TAT members are supposed to share their constructive criticism (or unfettered support) for this project. If you'd like to comment, please get back to me by Thursday (August 28). I'll incorporate comments the best I can that evening and submit the form to the coalition steering committee on Friday.

Also, please start thinking about volunteering between October 6-9 for one (or more) 2-hour modal counts on a street near you. (The actual modal count locations will be unveiled in mid-September.)

Thanks! Steve

Since some of us don't check email often and/or get so many emails we have to be selective — this is a quick 2 1/8 page easy read.  Due in a few days.
