'Tis the season for bike rack transport events. We've already transported racks for five events this season. The mobile bike rack program is growing in popularity every year and more people are biking and rolling to these events instead of driving. This means reduced carbon pollution, cleaner air and water, better attended events, and a happier and healthier community.
We transported bike racks to a record 18 events last year and will likely break that record this year. As the number of events increases, and summer gets busy, we need a larger team of volunteers. To recruit more volunteers, we are holding a training this Saturday from 4-5:30pm at Cloverland Park.
At the training, you will see how the hitch fits the rear rack of your bike or ebike and learn what it feels like to pull the trailer on nice calm neighborhood streets with no pressure. I will have adjustable trailer hitches to attach to your rear rack. Once we attach the hitch and a trailer with a couple racks, you can take it on a test ride. Training only takes 15-30 minutes.
If you are interested in the training, please respond to this email and let me know that you plan on coming. If you know any other cyclists who might be interested, please feel free to forward this to them and have them contact me.
