Hey Everyone,
I'm writing you all on behalf of Streets Are For Everyone (SAFE) Corvallis (not the TAT).
SAFE Corvallis is hosting an Open House this coming Friday (August 14) at the Corvallis Public library from 4:00-6:45pm to raise awareness about the Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
The CIP is the city's priority list for transportation and other capital projects. The CIP's 5-year plan is updated every year after a public comment period. This provides an opportunity for the community to influence which projects are prioritized and their scope/budget.
SAFE Corvallis advocates for two principles for our transportation system: 1) Prioritize safety for everyone and 2) Accelerate the shift from motor vehicle trips to walking, biking, rolling, and transit trips. Join SAFE Corvallis for the Open House and learn more about the CIP and how you can influence the transportation priority list, provide input on projects and their scope, and help make sure the SAFE principles are maximized in the next 5-year plan.
If you'd like to learn more about SAFE Corvallis and the CIP here are some links:
See you Friday!
Thanks, Steve
