Hi, Land Use Action Team Members,

I wanted to let you know about an important event coming up this week and also to find out when you’re available for a follow-up discussion.

  • The League of Women Voters of Corvallis has organized this program, which is being co-sponsored by the Sustainability Coalition’s Land Use Action Team, the City of Corvallis, and the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library.
  • The program will be held at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library and via Zoom. To access the Zoom link, go to Oregon's New Land Use Rules: How and Why Your Neighborhood May Be Changing - League of Women Voters of Corvallis

I live within the traditional homeland of the Ampinefu Band of Kalapuya.  Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya …Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations at either Grand Ronde or Siletz. Today, the Kalapuya live on tribal lands or tribal-ceded lands throughout the region. Many Kalapuya are active members of the sovereign nations of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde or the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. Kalapuya culture is alive.
