JACKSON MEADOW RESTORATION
Join us for a volunteer opportunity at Jackson Meadow in OSU’s McDonald-Dunn Research Forest. Much of Jackson Meadow, a 27-acre site with remnant oak and prairie habitat, has suffered from woody encroachment and invasive species. At this event, we will be hauling limbs and logs and rebuilding burn piles to improve ground conditions for ongoing restoration activities. All volunteers must complete IAE’s volunteer release form.

LEGISLATIVE UPDATE 2024
Come and hear from our state legislators about what they were able to accomplish during this year’s short legislative session. Sen. Sara Gelser-Blouin, Sen. Dick Anderson, Rep. and Speaker of the House Dan Rayfield, Rep. Daniel Gomber, and Rep. Shelly Boshart-Davis have been invited to participate. There will be plenty of time for questions.

PRAIRIE RESTORATION WEED PULL AT HAGG LAKE
Join the Institute for Applied Ecology (IAE) for a volunteer weed pull day at Henry Hagg Lake. Invasive weeds can overwhelm important nectar resources for native butterflies within a few short years, if left untreated. Help restore habitat for the threatened Fender’s Blue butterfly and learn more about the local prairie ecology and species’ recovery work. All tools and instructions are provided. All volunteers must complete IAE’s volunteer release form.
