Dear All,

I have made a sound file of this....................... it's a sound file of 7+ minutes, every second worth hearing, all pro solar, Solar is no longer expensive, it is even cheap. And the context is- the world having passed GHG equiv of 400 pts/million accumulation, and there is a mustn't get there level of 450 ppm.

I tried to send it as an attachment but because there is windows 25mb limit to the file size and the sound file is 72mb I can't.

So I am left with recommending you to read the article of Sr David King in the Financial Times of that day ( 2/8/13 ). It must be still at the library where it can be copied at a scanner.

Regards,            Geof

Hi,

So I went to the library and scanned in the article, attached. Surprisingly it is so different to the broadcast that I recommend you listen to that too. The sound is less 'matter of fact' and the urgency gets across better, and there is also an economist in the field who is in the interview and who adds some of her understanding too.

It is still available as a replay until Friday.

Something like " bbc.co.uk/radio 4/today/02 08 13 "  should find it. I got several addresses on the search engine and the first 2 took me down wrong tracks. So persevere if you have a problem and you'll get there.

The programme started at 06.00 and the bit you need started at 07.40.

regards,            Geof

Cheers,              Geof
