Dear All,

At last night's meeting ( arranged by Newport 21, Transition Town Telford, and Sustainable Bridgnorth ), the speaker David Elliot said his new IoP e-book              " Renewables -- a review of sustainable energy supply options " is still currently available free of any charge as an 'ebook' or pdf from : -

But it is there for a few days only and after then is planned as a very expensive hard back. Even if you haven't downloaded an ebook (yet) we can all download an pdf and save it.

I downloaded it as a pdf before I bought my 'Kobo aura HD' ebook reader. I find I can read the text on the devise but need to go to the PC to connect to web sites and links and there are many of them, the book being like a center of tangents or center of a spider's web. Laptops, tablets, Ipad, may be devises better suited, but rightly or wrongly I bought an ebook reader as it is much less expensive.

This outstanding 'Institution of Physics' published book is not to be missed and I most highly commend it to you. It is lucid, easy to read and in lay language. It only takes an amazingly short time to get the whole book. Then it is available as food for your thoughts and your consequent deliberations.

regards,             Geof

sincerely,          Geof(W)
