A True Southern Experience
Festivities will include: - Friday evening, we'll open the conference with a true southern welcome: a hosted reception on the lawn of the Pratt-Thomas Walker offices housed in a restored 1850s mansion in downtown Charleston.
- Saturday evening, we'll enjoy "Bluegrass and Brew" while Jimmy Hagood of Food for the Southern Soul, a Memphis BBQ champion, cooks up some southern-style BBQ.
- Sunday night, we'll spend together in Marion Square, home of Charleston's Farmers' Market, for a "Taste of the Lowcountry" featuring local chefs, the great flavors of the region, and an excellent local jazz trio.
- In addition, the Living Economy Tours -- via biodiesel bus on Thursday, May 20 and Friday, May 21 -- will feature Charleston's redeveloped Navy Yard, the progressive preservation of historic downtown, an organic brewery, a local farm tour, and much more! Please watch for details
