Rio+20 UN Conference on Sustainable Development

This week the last of the regional Sustainable Energy for All rollouts took place in Barbados, co-hosted by UNDP and the Small Island Developing States. The event resulted in a Barbados Declaration in advance of Rio+20, where SIDS countries agreed to work toward providing universal access to energy, switching to renewable energy and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. http://on.undp.org/J2QV1g
