Sustainable Communities Public Policy Forum Outcomes

1.  Participants will learn compelling new content about sustainable communities and have a chance to share their own stories and local ideas.  Networking with new partners and building community relationships are an important component to this outcome.

2.  Participants will be able to have an impact on shaping sustainable community policy by contributing ideas that will be folded into and help shape a statewide public policy forum.

3.  Participant input and recommendations will be incorporated into a final document to be shared with state and local decision-makers, university faculty and students, and process participants. The document will help set an agenda for shaping future policy directions pertaining to sustainable communities in Wisconsin.

4.  Participants will be able to identify opportunities for the University of Wisconsin to collaboratively support and enhance education, research, and outreach connected to sustainable community policy initiatives and funding.
