Sussex Christian Union Christian Union
First up, well done and congratulations!! You might not know what I'm
talking about so I'll give you a bit more information... As you might
know, Friday was the Cheers awards, where they gave awards to various
societies. The Christian Union was nominated for the 'Outstanding
Society' award, and we won it!! (So you'l get to see the lovely
trophey on Monday!)
Speaking of Monday, the talk'll be on 'How to Impact Our City' at 7pm
in the Meeting house; but don't hesitate coming at 6.30 pm to pray and
give us a hand setting up.
Then on Tuesday at 8am it's Prayer Breakfast in Howard House.
On Wednesday we have another time of prayer at 11am in Falmer 228!
That afternoon, at 2pm, Prayer Angels is on. Now this exciting event
has only just started, and it's hosted by Jess Howard at 37 Park
Village. This is girls only, we get tp share prayer requests, pray for
each other and chat the afternoon away! And don't forget your
notebooks!
This is followed by another exciting event which has just started,
too. On Friday at 1pm there'll be Student 2 Student in the Debating
Chamber. This week it's special testimony, led by Jonathan Fossey. So
do come along and bring friends along as it's a good opportunity to
show to people what God is doing in our lives.
Finally and not least, something speacial has been put on for the
boys, too. Instead of chatting the afternoon away they get to play
football. That's at 2pm in Stanmer Park.
The more social events are held on campus, but they're open to
students of all years so do join us!
