Week 4 Jubilee Action!! Please read!

Hello hello hello!

 

Hope you are having a good week.  Next week (week 4) we are going to be thinking about "Impacting our World".  Thinking about things like, how can we make a difference in the world; prayerfully, financially and maybe even looking at ways that we can really get involved either while we're at uni or after we graduate.

 

On Monday, some people from the international charity "Jubilee Action" will be coming to speak to us about what they do. 

"Jubilee Action is a Christian based international human rights charity, dedicated to protecting children at risk and combating poverty.  Our mission is to pioneer work with indigenous partners providing crucial care and shelter for children and families as well as investment for job creation within poor communities. We thought it would be great to raise some money next week to support their work, and we would love it if you could all get involved with that.  Basically, how to get involved is up to you!!  I've attached a sponsorship form to this e-mail and if you'd like to do a sponsored event on your own or with some other people - just print off the form and go for it!!  Ideally, events will take place next week but if you want to plan something for the week after, it's quite flexible.

 

We'll be selling smoothies on campus on monday, wednesday and friday of next week to raise some money.  Keena will be looking for a people to help her with that, so please help out if you can!  There will also be a collection at CU on Monday.  Please be imaginative and raise some money to help children around the world.
