Yep the term is coming to end...already! I hope you've had a great
term, and that exams are going well (if you've still got some!).
Monday is a very important day: as you know Freshers' week is just
round the corner; we are very excited about it, so this Monday
there'll be a meeting about it.
Freshers' week is a great time for the CU because we get to meet new
Christians that are coming to Sussex, but the aim is also that
non-Christians'll know about the CU, and hopefully become Christians
that week! To do that we need every possible person to be involved,
and that's why we're having this meeting. It'll start at 6pm in the
Meeting House and it'll give us the opportunity to talk about it, pray
about it and especially to plan it. So that'll be at 6pm in the
Meeting House!
We'll then have the main meeting at 7pm. It'll be a 'sharing night' in
which we can all share how the year has been, what God has been up to
in your life, and we'll get to pray for next year and this summer!
On Tuesday we'll have Prayer Breakfast which is still faithfully
running! If you've never been to prayer breakfast why not come and
check it out before the summer? I find especially during exam time
it's really helpful to start off the day by praying with people.
That's at 8am in Howard House, and we'll be praying for Freshers'
week.
On Wednesday there's a time of prayer in Falmer 126 at 11am!
On Friday there is Student 2 Student, in the Debating Chamber in
Falmer House. It starts at 1pm and it'll be a time to pray for next
year!
Finally on Saturday the boys' social time is still running, so they
meet up at 1pm in Matt Hodsons' house, 43 park village, and then hed
down to Stanmer Park for a game of football!
Also there are two very important dates to put in your diary:
on the Wednesday the 18th we'll be having a time of prayer and worship
in library square, as from 7pm, in Library square! that's with all the
other Christian denominations on campus, and there's more info in the
email Matt sent.
and on Saturday the 14th we'll be having a social evening because it's
the end of the year, and to say goodbye to all those third years which
are going in the big wide world...! so don't miss it!!
See you tomorrow!
