Description: Susquehanna Apothecary produces hand-made herbal extracts that are sold online, direct to our customers, as well as in bulk orders for naturopathic doctors and other holistic health practitioners. We specialize in herbs for Lyme Disease as well as wildcrafted herbal products, but we work with a very wide array of medicinal plants from European, Native American, traditional Chinese, and Ayurvedic traditions. The apothecary is a project of Susquehanna Sustainable Enterprises LLC, which also runs Urban Edge Farm, a small agricultural operation that grows herbs for the apothecary as well as other produce. We are looking for an apothecary assistant to participate in the manufacture of our herbal products, to assist with some administrative work, and to occasionally work at Urban Edge Farm.

This position is for 20-25 hours per week, 3-5 days weekly. The position pays $15/hour starting wage, plus herbal products, fresh veggies from the farm, as well as free tuition to our classes and workshops. More hours and benefits may be available in the near future. We are an equal opportunity employer. Position begins immediately.

• Permaculture

• Holistic Health

• Chemistry

• Commercial Kitchens

• Record Keeping

• Business Administration

• Inventory Management

• Sales

• Social Media

• Graphic Design

Applicant must be:

• at least 18 years of age

• legally eligible to work in the United States

• able to lift and carry 50 pounds

• proficient with mathematics and measuring

• fluent in English

• reliable, consistent, and a hard worker

• proficient with basic computer skills

• familiar with work-flow in a kitchen

• able to provide themselves with proper work clothing for a farm environment

• able to provide themselves with transportation to and from work

• able to work 5-8 hours per day

• able to begin working as soon as possible
