Fellow filmmakers and friends.

At this weeks meeting the agenda was quite limited as we have yet to
hear back from SFU, which was going to be the topic of today's
discussion.

Instead we had to resort to discussing Japanese TV trends and Cowboy
films... So that was insightful and rewarding in many ways.

We also decided to move forward with a screening event. The details
yet to be decided, but we're thinking a casual screening/party where
some of our work can be showcased in some sort of semi-professional
venue.

There was an attempt to discuss a possible script/idea development
group, which i will post about in a thread of it's own.

That's about it for now, I will be in touch about the grant as soon as
i hear.

I'm a sucky society-member for not participating much, but on the topic of screenings, 2nd year is April 28 and 4th year is April 29/30. If the SoDFC wants to piggyback any events on our hype that might be possible, OR if you want your own hype, that's a week to avoid. If I see Martin I will ask him about the grant stuff, but I was told that a lot of information won't come down until March, including some details about alumni access. I will be sure to pass on anything I hear.
