Heya guys, just a heads up that I've been approached by a local non-
profit literary magazine who is thinking about renting a space on
hastings near main. They're looking for other groups who would be
interesting in collaborating with them in some form or another in the
space. They were thinking of something like a monthly film night/
screening... It's a pretty great space, even if it is in a sketchy
locale.

Is there any interest from you guys for something like this? Finding
really awesome original films from wherever we can and having a little
monthly film fest? If a few of us were interested perhaps we could
take turns curating it? I've expressed interest to Memwar in
committing first to a test run night just to see how it goes.

Hey all,

I know that Merida at the Goonies space (108 e hastings) is very open
to events as well. She has a pretty well established space and a
video projector I think is looking to add events to their schedule.
We could program events as Suspension of Disbelief at her space i'm
sure if we wanted. I say no need to spend money on rent if someone
already has a space...

What do you all think?

Actually goonies is the space in question... memwar is thinking of taking it over. we wouldn't be paying as far as i know. we would just be bringing in money for them by hosting film screenings.
