Ihave the same Brave version installed as you have, but I have no problems when editing albums on Google Photos or events on Google Calendar.

Sometimes, an extension could be responsible for this error. Do you have already tried to disable all of them and reproduce the issue?

I've purchased several albums from non itunes stores. With several of these albums I have been unable to edit the information of the songs (genre/equalizer, etc). What happens is, I will open the file on itunes, write in the changes and press enter and none of the changes will stick.

If I add a photo to an album and edit & make changes to that photo, be it simple operations (exposure, contrast, etc.) or intrusive ones (e.g. removing skin imperfections with an app) - does it affect the original photo in my Photos view? I know that if I add a photo to a shared album it creates a copy, not sure how it works with standard albums...

Standard albums and smart albums are just referencing the photos in the library, they are just different groupings and views of your photos and videos. There is only one copy of of any photo in your library, and you are seeing all photos in the library in the Photos tab combined in All Photos. If you edit a photo or a video while browsing an album or smart album, the adjustments will be applied to the photo and you will be seeing the changed version in any album you added the photo to, as well as in the Photos tab. Photos will preserve the original and display the new preview with the adjustments applied. You can revert to the original version, if you later decide you do not like the new adjusted version. If you want a second version of your photo in the library, for example the full photo plus a cropped version or a black-and-white copy, duplicate the photo before you apply the adjustments. The copy does not duplicate the original, you will just get a second preview for the second edited version.

In my experience, ad-hoc editing using the Windows Properties/Details tab is fine, such as to correct a few files with tags with typos. and the like. Note that you also can correct more than a single file at a time: highlight all the files you want to correct (such as, to correct a typo. in the tag album name, or to add an album name), go to the Details tab, and then you can change the tag for the field with a single entry input.

That sounds cool. There is most always a book cover included in the files that appears on the display now. I usually have the player clipped inside my pocket while I while away the time on my treadmill. That is my secret to a happy and healthy life. I did figure out that putting a track number is not necessary. I had another book or two come available while corresponding on this issue, and they also were missing an album entry in their tag details. I looked back to some books that were OK in the beginning, and the details there were complete and more extensive that the recent ones I have had to repair. I will now check before copying to the player and add the album if needed. Sometimes multiple books were put into that unknown folder, and that caused other problems as well. Thanks again for your guidance. Regards, Tom

Add the selected photos to a new shared album: Click New Shared Album, enter an album name, click the Plus button and invite others to see your shared album, enter a comment if you want, then click Create.

A coworker shared an album with me, but it seems like the only option for editing is the web version of LR. Is there a way to get these in LrC without downloading them, re-importing them to my LrC, and separating them from the collaborative feature?

@Ranjisha Sengupta , the link you provided at the end of your message explains how to share a collection so that others can make comments, but not how to collaboratively edit a photo by multiple users. e.g., my brother showing me how he would edit one of my pics. thanks!

Suggestion to add a feature where you can edit your ratings like you can on reviews which would be a lifesaver, especially for someone like me who changes opinions on the album or on the song all the time.

I completely agree with this. It is obnoxious if you have to even slightly change ratings on several albums and they all become your most recently rated albums, even if you only tweaked it by a couple points. Nobody wants to see your latest re-rated album as the most recent.

Is there a way to change the art for an album? I've tried editing the ID3 tags for the files and putting in a new image in the file folder, but Vox continues to display the original terrible image. It's truly hideous. Please help.

+1 for an option to manually change (or add missing) artwork. This could be as simple as using an image (png or jpg) if found inthe folder where the music files are. Usually each album is in itsown folder anyway. May be a selection in preferences, if such alocal image would be fallback (if nothing found on last.fm) or thedefault artwork.

I've also had problems with album artwork. Lately I've beenuploading my artwork in FLAC and I also have a lot of marginalmusic that may not be found from Last.fm or other services. Now I'mhere with several albums which have no album art at all (even afterI edited the .FLAC files to include them) or they show incorrectalbum art. It's highly irritating as album art is an important partof my listening experience (as weird as it might sound). You'realready allowing uploading of 24bit FLAC files, small album artfiles shouldn't be too much next to that.

Hi,

Any progress on this? I love Vox, but am constantly annoyed thathalf of the artists in my library have the wrong artwork. Couldthere be an option to not auto-download artist images but to usealbum artwork instead?

I realize this is an old thread but I wanted to throw my vote in for being able to control/change the artist art rather than use that found in Last.fm I tend to not want to change the image once I have found one I like and when it does change this often or not show at all it is annoying.

The only way I could find to correct this was to edit the data from Windows Explorer by selecting the exported file, right clicking and selecting Properties, then the Details tab. I can then fill in the data for Album Artist. I then delete the entry for Contributing Artist. This is a time consuming process when handling a lot of tracks for broadcast.

Tagging is the biggest headache for people who want to use multiple playback methods. When I started my music library I put very specific information in my tags. The day I brought my personal favorites collection into one of my playback methods (device/software) and discovered it had created a hundred single-song albums with the same album name and individualized cover art that corresponded to an album that had the tagged song title by the tagged artist. That was the first time I faced the reality of using precision tagging and with different systems. Great example of YMMV. Just be prepared to simplify your tags in one master library or have specific tags that require multiple libraries.

Certainly when I was digibitting my LP and tape collection with Audacity, I did the metadata management external to Audacity. I used iTunes, as my target device at the time was an iPod. I needed to rework it all for the hi-fi WAV jukebox that also carries all my music - but that gets done on the device itself via a webpage.

In some situations, I end up with songs in Windows 10's Music folder that just have blanks for all columns containing the song information i.e. the song's title, artist, album, year, etc. The procedure I use to try to resolve this is as follows:

Again: In the Music folder, Right-click the song file's name > Click on Properties.Under the Details tab, you should now be able to change the Title, Contributing Artists, Album, Year, #, etc. as you like > Click Apply > Click OK.

HOWEVER this procedure sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. And in some of the cases when it doesn't work, I can just wait a few minutes and it'll work on a 2nd try, but in other cases, it won't work no matter how many times I try. Does anyone know why this is or what I should do???

MP3 files may have worse sound quality than FLAC files but I think most people can't hear much of a difference. Also, MP3 files offer the great advantage of taking up less space. I think the average FLAC file is about 20 MB in size while the average MP3 file is 8 MB.

In high school a friend dragged me to a Creative Memories scrap night where we created a scrapbook page using all of the fun papers, punches, stickers, and tools they had to offer. Creative Memories is like the OG scrapbooking company who transformed the booklet of plastic sleeves with pictures slid in (you know the kind) to a crafty and curated photo album.
