1. What did I do yesterday?

• (susi_translator) - Reviewed PRs -
  • #101 (feat: implementation of WebSocket Caption Streaming with SSE Fallback)

• (eventyay-interpretation) - Updated PR - Feat/Translated subtitles (multi-language) 
  • Refactored the frontend by introducing a new caption component, moving interpretation captions into a dedicated caption bar below the video, separating it from the video player controls. then cleaning up interpretation state/logic, and updating the UI to provide a simpler, less cluttered viewing experience.
  • Debugged frontend build and asset serving issues by correcting the build output directory used by Django and resolving stale PWA service worker cache invalidation that prevented updated bundles from loading.
• (eventyay-interpretation) - Updated PR - feat: per-room interpretation sessions with HLS auto-detect []
  • Update plugin to support YouTube, Vimeo, native, and HLS sources (in addition to HLS), with priority-based stream selection from room configuration and schedules.
  • Simplified SUSI integration by unifying session configuration, updating hls_url with stream_url, and removing deprecated HLS-specific logic and aliases.

2. What do I plan to do today?

We are planning to have a demo ready for the plugin by this weekend. With the main functionality working, one goal now is to make the user experience simple and convenient and make the plugin easy to use with its features in expected areas for both technical and non technical people that shall be using it in eventyay and eventyay videos. today, im :

• Moving the Interpretation configuration from the admin settings to the common event settings for better accessibility.

• Relocating the interpretation room configuration from the common settings to the individual Eventyay video room settings.

• Refining the caption UI to better align with the existing video layout.

3. What is blocking me from making progress?
