Howdy!

We’re so proud of the new gallery’s website, we hope you’ll take a minute to poke around and see the artists’ work. I think you’ll really understand why we’re so happy to be there each day. If you fall in love with an artwork, there’s a way to make it your own!

THEN I hope you’ll plan to come to our reception for two of the gallery’s artists- Constance Seiler who designs and makes beautiful jewelry, and Tim Olson who creates magical mixed media artworks. Artists, art, refreshments and champagne on a Sunday afternoon in the spring in San Antonio’s La Villita by the Riverwalk. Can it get better than that?

I’m busy at my easel with a full list of portrait commissions these days. I’ve decided to release myself from the rigid schedule of Wednesday evening online painting broadcasts, and go to a looser, as-the-spirit-moves, impromptu approach. When I acquired Nueva Street Gallery, it had an existing website, but we began dreaming of a new www.NuevaStreetGallery.com.

Dreaming was all we could do for a few months, as there were so many other tasks that had priority. It took a while to begin the process of building it, but we’re very proud of the results! Our goal was to have every artwork shown well, with a way for collectors to purchase the artworks they fall in love with and arrange for shipping

them home.

I think we’ve done it! The designer behind its beauty and logic is Ugur Kilic, of DesignPro Studio. Ugur shows her fine art photography here at the gallery, I’m proud to say. I recommend her services to anyone looking for a graphic designer for print or web needs: designp...@mac.com

Not only is the art wonderful at NSG, but our building is celebrating its 120th birthday this year. It was built in 1891 and was originally a house, then apartments, then a candy factory, and now for many years has been a gallery and artist studio, beginning with

San Antonio artist, Margaret Putnam, who painted here until her death in 1989. Margaret's daughter visited the gallery recently and told me I'm now painting in the same spot that her mother did. I love that. I hope you'll visit!
