A poster on another forum challenged me that there were few MAC
programs to rip 24/96-24/192 DVD-Audio (mainly talking 2.0 stereo
here). With DVDAExplorer becoming less available on MAC over the past
few years, I recommended the usual suspects on Windows. However, he
claims:
"the DVD-A should be played at 24/96 bit perfect through Apple Core
Audio without any EQ, or sample rate alterations [if you have an
earlier version MAC (then) that does not support 24/96 ....]. If you
set the Audio Hijack Pro to capture this and set the recording bit and
sample rate correctly (the same) then you should get a bit perfect
copy (provided you do not route anything else through Core Audio at
the same time). "
Is this true? Can a simple program like Audio Hijack Pro rip (in
realtime, of course) rip 24/192 DVD-Audio? What would be the source,
a Mac DVD drive? Oppo via toslink in? Thx
Ted
