I downloaded some concert in MKV with DTSHDMA preserved, but in FLAC.
I would like to convert it to BD (AVCHD) format, but FLAC is
unrecognizable from TSmuxer, multiavchd... So...
Is there maybe an easy way of returning FLAC to DTSHDMA? I doubt it,
but...
I suspect that DTSHDMA encoder suite is needed. I have it, but it only
sees ASIO drivers. ASIO4ALL does not work properly in my win7 setup.
I've given up on it. My CREATIVE ASIO works fine in foobar2000, but
not well with DTSHDMA stream player/encoder.
I can play that mkv fine with mpc, but somehow HD content plays better
for me when it is in BD format. Maybe it is just my preferance, but...
Thanks

Afaik there are still no neither one click nor easy way (ie. fast)
mkv(flac) to bd/avchd(dts-hd) conversions. Perhaps the simplest
transfer is to demux flac from mkv to lpcm and then to author the
avchd disc with tsmuxer and multiavchd. If I were an HTPC user (as I
am) I'd live with the original mkv(flac).

interesting - I've never seen an MKV file with FLAC audio

you could try this:

see if you can demux the audio and video - if so then use Audiomuxer to convert the audio flac to mono wave files

Use the DTS-MA suite to reencode the audio (bluray audio )

you should then be able to make an avchd disc with either TSMuxer or Multiavchd..

What Keyser Sose said, mono wavs to DTS-MA encoder. I've done this
myself just the other day, taking surround flac and converting to DTS-
MA to use for a music video. I then muxed the video and audio to mkv
for playback.

If it is easier to get lpcm, than I would be happy with it.
I will try extracting flac audio from it. I wouldn't like to have to
deal with 6 mono files, though.
MKVmerge GUI expects FLAC, but can not extract it. Is MKV cleaver
32/64 the answer?
If not I will try eac3to...
Thanks

Try the latest HdBrStreamExtractor eac3to GUI. It works also on files
like a charm and you can extract and convert the audio stream in one
session (no conversion to HD-audio like DTS-HD or TrueHD though).
