I can rip AUDIO_TS folder to hard disc, but rip to ISO image, only
runs with no ISO file afterwards. Do I need a registered version of
DVDFab to rip DVD-audio to ISO image or am I doing something wrong?

Can only the AUDIO_TS folder (hi-res part) be ripped to an ISO image?

make sure you're ripping the dvd-audio in "clone" mode and uncheck the
"copy dvd-video only" option. Then just click to choose the where you
wish to save the iso image.

Clone mode is not available in trial/free version, afaik. If you don't
have access to full version, you can reconstruct ISO from the folders.
But it's a delicate and tedious process, so I'd recommend getting hold
of full version.

Thanks for the replies. Seems like not having a full version, is my
problem.

What if you go to Full Disc mode, and check the non-default option "Copy
DVD-Audio (AUDIO_TS Folder)", and then create the ISO.
I have the unregistered version of DVD-Fab, and it works for this purpose.

@ Goran Janicijevic

I was trying to do that, and although it ripped the AUDIO_TS folder,
there was no ISO file in the output path folder afterwards. What
version of DVDFab did you have success with?

I got a registred version to rip to an ISO file in Clone mode, but you
cannot select only the AUDIO-TS folder.

Thanks,

I don't think you can copy only the AUDIO_TS folder. Both, or only the
VIDEO_TS folder (but I'm not sure)

I use DVDFab 5 and effectively, you cannot skip VIDEO_TS. But why
would you? If you are going to extract single tracks, you can just
delete the video part from your PC. And if you're making a backup
disc, it's safer to keep the video folder.

I agree with the argument about extracting tracks against backup of
both folders. I want to make backups which I can play on a stand-alone
DVD-audio player. On many discs, the size of the AUDIO_TS folder is
smaller than a DVD-5. Blank DVD-9 cost 8 times more than DVD-5, where
I live. I was hoping to make backups on DVD-5 with all menus intact.

The DVD-audio image of "ELP - Brain Salad Surgery" from mojave,
contains only the AUDIO_TS files with even some bonus stuff removed.
The image must have been reconstucted. I wonder how?

Any way, thanks for the info.

I think with a little luck you can just skip the video folder. But
it's important not to change the order of the files in the audio
folder.
