As we did not have a morning presentation scheduled, we went to a church to continue working on their new classroom area. We worked from about 8:30 to 1:00 moving ceiling bricks, scraping paint off some panels, sanding them and painting them, cutting and bending rebar for the columns and ceiling support. We then returned home for lunch and to get cleaned up to leave for a school presentation at 3:00. Apparently there was some confusion as to the time and we found out at 2:00 that we needed to actually leave around 2:30. So we scrambled as people got cleaned up and left for the school.

When we arrived at the school we were told that we could not do a full assembly presentation but that they would allow us to go into the classrooms and present the program. We did two presentations for seniors before waiting as the students had a recess. Emily Z., Joy, and I played a little volleyball with some of the students while the others talked and took pictures with other students. After the break, we went into one more senior classroom and one junior classroom for two more presentations. The students seemed to be all attentive and listened to what we had to share. It is different doing it in smaller groups as it makes it more personal. The pastor we were working with that night, indicated that they had tried other times to be able to get into the school to make presentations but had never been able to do so before. We trust that God will use the seeds that were planted on this day to bring forth fruit.

We then went with the pastor to his church to prepare for the evening service. We were able to share a time of fellowship with the pastor as well as a meal before the service. The church is a small church that is getting started and requests prayer that God will continue to help them to grow. We shared with them in the service how we need to be faithful to go into all parts of the world, even our parts of the world, and preach the gospel to others.

When we returned home, we had the chance to try some new Peruvian fruit before going to bed.
