Dear all,

We are now installing SCALA software in a new PC for our re-built Omicron VT-STM system in our lab. The software required to fill installation number (xxxx), site notice (string array) and installation key (xx-xxxxxxxx). We are sure that we put all information correctly with supplied documents from Omicron but we always get back the message like 'the information entered is not correct'. Does anyone know how to solve this problem. We really need help from you because Omicron do not support the service for this software anymore.

Many thanks in advance.

You don't say whether the codes you are keying in are visible to you on the screen as you type them or whether they are obscured by place-holders, such as *. If you cannot see the actual characters on the screen as you type them then one of the possible explanations for what you describe is that the layout of your physical keyboard and the keyboard layout in the operating system on the new PC do not match, resulting in you not entering the correct characters. You can easily test this by keying the same codes in to a text editor and seeing whether they are what you think you are typing.
Cheers, Mike
