Dear Users
As you are aware, Receipt Number of TDS Return has to be quoted in the
TDS Certificates to be issued for the deductions made in the financial
year 2010-11.
The general thinking was as had been done in prior years, the receipt
no. of the TDS Return filed had to be quoted, but the department has
stated that for the fin year 2010-11, this number is not to be quoted
on the TDS Certificate, but instaed a new number which shall be
available on the website of NSDL be quoted as the receipt number. The
provisional Receipt Number has now been rephrased as Token No.
