Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Location : On-Site Requirement: 2 Days a week at Client Location in NYC
Shift : 12 Noon to 9 PM US EST – as of now
 
Job Description :
Strong in AIX SME with knowledge of HACMP and RedHat Linux
4 + years of Linux experience and facilitating technologies. RHEL Operating systems
Knowledge of supporting both Physical servers and VMs on ESX platform.
RHEL administration including boot, grub,
LVM (RHEL) , File system operations and NFS mounts.
Knowledge of networking- TCP/IP, DNS, traceroute, routing
System Performance monitoring and tuning.
Ability to interact with hardware / software vendors to find solutions.
Ability to implement change requests for the Unix server estate.
Ability to monitor Linux patching and fix any issues
Ability to answer User queries and work on basic incidents on the above mentioned area.
 
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
Bash / Python Scripting knowledge
Knowledge of Storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, ASM, etc
Knowledge of Clustering technologies such as Veritas Clusters
