Job Title: Backend DeveloperLocation: Sunnyvale, CADuration: 6-12 monthsIs Remote option available during COVID: YesBA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience2+ years’ experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.2+ years’ experience programming experience in Java, Python, and/or C#.Preferred Qualifications:5+ years of programming experience in back-end developmentExperience working with cloud technology such as AzureExperience writing scalable and efficient Java for an enterprise productExperience using message queues such as KafkaExperience using NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DBExperience using big data databases such as Hadoop with Apache SparkExperience with unit and e2e testing frameworksKnowledge of (and a passion for) current trends and best practices in back-end architecture, including performance, security and scalabilityExperience with hosting, scaling web applications and splitting trafficPrior experience building public API's with JavaFamiliarity and comfort with command-line applications, git source control and other aspects of developing in large, distributed software teamsStrong written and verbal communicator who is very organized and able to think entrepreneuriallyWorks well in cross-collaboration environment
