It must be easy to create these help files. Think like Microsoft Word in terms of functionality, it doesn't need everything, but layout, formatting, insert images, etc. All the basics to create a professional looking help file.
On the other hand, if you want to produce a very professional-looking knowledge base, then Document360 is a better choice than HelpNDoc. Document360 works well if you already have a website for your company, and you want to produce a separate knowledge base for your documentation.
Thanks a lot PeterBreis0807 but what I meant is the way the software is designed and not only the way you export. In fact I want the manual eventually to be in PDF and most word processors can export to pdf but the way helpndoc is designed to create a manual is excellent. You said "I use Pages '09 because of its more advanced features to create Manuals distributed as .pdfs." can you please explain or direct me to a link for the more "advanced features" for creating manuals??
