running gwt app on external server - nandini yeltiwar

I tried to run a small example for gwt app as web application but it took quite long time and didnt display launch url.

Then I thought of running it on external server(apache tomcat), it gave the launch url but the url when opened in browser gave resource unavailable error. 

I wrote external server root as http://localhost:8080/appname/appname.html

I also tried with http://localhost:8080/appname.html

and http://localhost:8080/appname/war/appname.html

Why isn't it running or what else need to be done?

Ok. Now it is running as web application on internal server. (solved through error log)
