Onlinelearning has led ODOT to implement new guidelines for students and instructors. For example, students attending an online course must be visible to their instructor and actively participate in the learning process.

ODOT-approved driver ed course requirements have not changed due to the pandemic. Programs may have changed the way they deliver instruction, but students still get the learning they need to be safer drivers.

Challenging times or not, Driver Ed is still making safer drivers and giving parents some peace of mind. Teens who take Driver Ed have a 57% lower rate of traffic convictions and can save up to 15% a year on car insurance. So stay on track to become a better, safer driver and sign up for Driver Ed today!

The only way to do this is to move the whole Dropbox directory to the external drive. But that then means if it disconnects at any time or is slow to re-connect on boot up Dropbox can see this as a total wipe of all data. Unfortunately there are loads of posts on here about that happening.

Did this post not resolve your issue? If so please give us some more information so we can try and help - please remember we cannot see over your shoulder so be as descriptive as possible!

Dropbox simply requires one to connect one's external drive to one's laptop, whereupon the Dropbox app will "see" the external hard drive, and, if one wants it to do so, the Dropbox app will sync the external drive to the Dropbox cloud.

Note that placing the Dropbox folder on an external drive is NOT recommended. Under the right conditions, data loss can occur. If the Dropbox application were to start before the drive is connected or the drive becomes disconnected while Dropbox is running, it could be seen as a mass deletion which would sync to your account online, deleting your files.

I'm using dropbox for a business, so I accumulated massive amounts of data. This data does not fit on any computer anymore, so I can't download the data from dropbox and do the backup manually.

So I'm wondering, how i can backup my dropbox on an external harddrive? I think this is very important to have the data not just on cloud, but also on a harddrive, just to be safe, and to be in accordance with the law. (Some data, I have to store for 10 years and I'm accountable if it gets lost)

On average, Airspace shipments are transported with a sedan or hatchback 90% of the time. No matter what type or size a package is, our system selects the appropriate driver who has the right vehicle for the shipment.

No matter when you feel like working, we offer jobs around the clock. Our operations team works 24/7/365 dispatching drivers. Through our mobile app, you can work as much as you want or whenever you want. You control your time.

You get the Active Directory module as part of the Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 8. One of the cool features in Windows PowerShell 3.0 is when I use a cmdlet, Windows PowerShell automatically loads the module that contains the cmdlet if it is not already present. Autoloading is great.

Therefore, when I use Get-ADComputer, Windows PowerShell automatically loads the Active Directory module. However, if the Active Directory module is not already loaded, attempting to set my working location to the AD: drive generates an error. This is shown here.

After you import the Active Directory module, the AD: drive becomes available. I can then set my working location to the AD: drive. I can also use Get-ChildItem to retrieve the contents. This is shown here.

Unfortunately, what I see on the AD: drive is not what you need to use to actually interact with the drive. This leads to confusion. Therefore, when I attempt to set my location to the iammred container, an error arises. This is shown here.

I decide to use the Set-Location cmdlet to change my working location to the actual domain. To do this, I specify the DistinguishedName attribute. Because the components of the name separate via commas, I place the string in quotation marks. When I have my working location on the domain drive, I use the Get-ChildItem cmdlet to produce an output. These commands are shown here.

To change location to the child containers, the first portion of the distinguished name is required. Therefore attempting to set the location to the Users container fails when attempted as follows.

If I find myself spending a lot of time in the Charlotte OU, I do not want to deal with a lot of typing to change to the OU. So I can create a new Windows PowerShell Drive only for Charlotte. First, I need to know the name of the provider. I get this by using the Get-PSProvider cmdlet. This is shown here.

It is as I suspected. Now I create my new Windows PowerShell drive by using the New-PSDrive cmdlet. The only thing that is tricky is the value for Root. I copied the string that I used earlier with Set-Location, and it worked perfectly here.

When I am on the drive, I can use standard cmdlets to work with the data. Here I use dir (alias for Get-ChildItem) to obtain a list of all members of the Charlotte OU.

I want to replace the current 8TB parity drive with the unassigned 12tb drive (sdf) below. After the swap and parity has been rebuilt on to the new 12tb drive I want to take the 8tb drive (former parity drive) and add it as a data drive in the array. Current parity drive is healthy, zero errors on full parity scan/check yesterday. Preclear on the 12tb (sdf) drive is about 50% complete.

In the guide it talks about powering down, removing data drives, unassigning etc and I'm a little unclear what steps apply to my setup / use case here. As mentioned, the new 12tb drive is already on and installed. Parity drive is healthy.

Can someone provide simple step-by step info here that apply to my setup? Never done this before and I _really_ do not want to screw up my array in the process. If i have an issue during rebuilding parity (on the 12tb (sdf) drive) can i fall back to the current 8tb drive? If i have an issue during rebuilding parity (on the 12tb (sdf) drive) can i fall back to the current 8tb drive?

Squid is correct but you can also stop the array, unassign the 8TB parity disk, assign the 12TB disk to parity, and assign the 8TB disk to the next data disk slot all in one step. This is a supported operation.

Parity swap isn't exactly a shortcut for the standard way. It really is intended for the situation where you need to replace a data disk, but you don't want to be forced to buy a disk as small as parity. It allows you to copy parity to a larger disk, then replace the data disk with the old parity and rebuild it. So it lets you get a new larger parity disk instead of making you buy a disk as small as the original parity to replace the data disk.

I guess New Config would have to be done then, but if you're rebuilding parity anyway might as well get the added disk as part of that parity build instead of waiting for it to clear. Since it's been a couple of days now probably something has already been done.

yup - i couldn't change the parity to 12tb and put the former 8tb parity drive in the array at the same time. Got disk error so rebuilding parity on the 12tb while the former parity drive is sitting unassigned.

I find the guides pretty confusing. I want to replace my parity drive with a larger one on the same SATA port. Then add the old parity drive as a data drive on a different SATA port. This is because I have bought a MZHOU PCIe SATA Card 6 Port to add extra drives, and I feel like it's safer to have the parity drive on a mainboard SATA port (or is that nonsense..?).

Edit2: this edit comes very late, but just in case other people come across this post: that MZHOU card did not work in my system. I am not sure if it was a faulty card or if it simply doesn't work with Unraid. I sent it back for a refund.

@JorgeB@Squid - So I just upgraded the drives in my backup NAS and want to use them in my Unraid server as they are larger than the existing drives. Since these drives contain data, is there anything I need to do after #5 in my situation?

If you do not want the data to be deleted and the drives added as additional drives then you need to go via Tools->New Config to add them. The New Config tool leaves drives previously used on an Unraid system with their data intact. You then need to build new parity to match the new drive set.

Is the same true for taking one of the old NAS drives with data on it and bringing it over to replace one of the existing Unraid drives? Unraid will take care of deleting all of the existing data on the old NAS drive on its own?
