Justread an article stating that EA is hiring for an "Anti-cheat Program Manager" - and making a team JUST to handle cheating. I think this is an amazing step towards this issue. One thing I love about Apex is that, despite it's problems, they are very active in acknowledging them and work to fix things. (Eventually)
..People just don't have patience anymore.
Thanks for the step forward EA!
If you got banned it was deserved. They currently handle all the cases manually. Which means THEY themselves physically reviewed your case and banned you. This is why they typically never will reverse a ban because they had someone sit down and review it. So odds are you did something. The only time you'll be able to argue this is once they finally add the system to detect red flags because there is a chance it could mess up and register false positives but until then they saw something.
Playing console vs consoles it Happened twice to me last week where I was killed in a very quick time that made me wonder if that was a strike pack cheat that I could report but ended up spectating another team somewhere else in the map even tough the team that killed us was obviously well alive.
@Palette24caratsYes, its a cheat. Its being used on PC servers too. People who are obviously cheating are deploying it so they can cheat as much as they want, and you'll never have "proof" of it, as it throws you on a team on the other side of the map.
You always spectate the team of the player who had gotten the kill credit for killing you, unless that team got wiped out by another squad, then you'll be watching the team that killed them. You only spectate a random team if no one had killed you, and you died to your own faults, such as the ring. There for, its a cheat to be forced spectating another squad, and one who couldn't even had killed you at that..
@Midnight9746 I don't think that this is a cheat. and please don't assert that something's a cheat without evidence.
If you do have evidence of it being a cheat, please DM me with said evidence and we'll take the appropriate action.
@Palette24carats I believe this to be a fairly rare bug. Most of the time it occurs it's not really noticed as folks often just requeue without spectating much, but if you have cause to report your killer it's an awkward one. It's also often conflated with the situation where there's a multi-party fight and your killer's team is wiped shortly after wiping you.
@EA_DavidI don't think its a bug at all, while its not very common, there are players who I've seen blantly aimbot and laser people down, but there's not really a way to show any kind of proof of that, since seeing their perspective is a lot better than seeing what others see, since not only do you see where they're aiming, but you're less likely to have issues with the server or gun seemsly missaligning the shots, (packet loss or something like that), and its a lot more clearer.
Everytime I get killed by someone legit, like a normal player, pred, and sometimes, yes, even cheaters or a smurph, I'm always spectating their team, or the team of whoever killed me, if apart of another team, or the team that killed them after mine was eliminated. I would sometimes have teammates spectating other squads, due to each of us being killed by another squad.
Overall, as far am I'm concerned, being sent across the map to spectate another team, doesn't sound like a bug, it sounds like someone redirecting you, so you can't record them, as this redirect tends to occure when the person is "cracked", aka cheating so hard its unbelieveable. I guess it could be a bug, but I don't see how the game could mistake a different squad for being my killer's team, when even the damage report doesn't include any of their names. I've died in countdown before, and was suddenly watching a team over in gyser. That seemed like an intentional redirect, as that team seemed to be the furthest away.
I've even had one game, where I was sent to watch another squad, and that squad died to a different team, then that team ran right into my killer's team, it then bounced back to the squad that had killed me, which seems to mean that only people they kill directly are bounced to another team. So, I've just sat there for a few moments recording, as they were locking onto and aimbotting players, and I even reported that to EA. This is why I think it was a redirect cheat.
From my understanding, it appears that they only redirect people once, most likely because a person would leave the match and not stick around too long, so by the time they get sent back to watch the cheating team, they wouldn't be in the match anymore. That, and being sent away a second time would be a bit more obvious that its a redirect cheat, since doing it once to a player makes it easier to chalk up to being a bug. Which might be why you think its a bug, and I can understand that.
In all honesty, when there's a bug in Apex, its not "rare", its consistant, and usually takes time to get fixed. Things such as guns while knocked, being able to run and jump while knocked, flying drones with Shiela on it, clipping out of the map (or getting stuck on the map), Caustic traps flying off into narnia when hit by something like Lifeline's carepackage, etc. All these things were fairly replicatable, and eventually got patched. I've only had one bug that occured once, which was as Pathfinder, you grapple someone while they're skydiving, and it just suspends you in the air slightly off the ground, but you can't do anything like jump, pickup items, or even let go of whoever you grappled. Its not something anyone can easily do, or should do, and its certainly unlikely to happen again. This occured when going down the tunnle in the roof of a mountain on Stormpoint. I wanted to grapple the ground, but lached onto a Bloodhound by accident, who had the slow down decent animation of the skydive.
Hey there,

@twitchSeriel_FPSi've run psychological tests in ranked gold 3 to test if the opponent was hacking and in 4 out of 5 games they are.
multiple times multiple teams are co-conspiring against either me or me and my team. acting in coordinated attacks.
i know the game is full of conspiring cheaters. but every now and then i have fun.
i tested acting like a bad player and looting bad and not pinging and not talking and carrying a mozambique and suddenly the enemy is forgiving. i think the enemy is usually bots and their skill level goes down if they think theyre fighting a weak opponent that would explain the coordinated multi team attacks, and hacking esque tactics they use.
so i like to carry a mozambique and act stupud. fool the bots in my empyty lobby.
