How to play:

There are different runes or symbols in the game and you must make a couple of mistakes before you will find out the correct combination of runes. For beginners, it can be a total headache and it will seem hard as hell at first; however when you will find out the correct combination even once it will be enough to understand how this game truly works.

A lot of people ask me from time to time that game rules are way too confusing for them. Honestly, I can't tell you how angry I am. My 10-year old bought this game with his own money. We only have a 1-month free trial for Gold. So now for him to play this game, he's going to have to continue to pay for it every month? This is just WRONG.

Please, as a company with integrity, consider upgrading the game so that it is playable without this requirement and added expense. It just feels like a rip-off. It makes me NOT want to buy him EA games.

... and this is exactly why, as parents, you should be paying attention to what your children purchase, as well as teaching them to read and research something before buying it. Simply going to the website for the game would show you that it requires Xbox Live.

As for me, I thought I understood what "Please be aware that you will need an Xbox LIVE Gold account to access Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare" meant, and we do in fact have an account. What upsets me is that it is not made clear on the box for the 360 version that you cannot have multiple people--multiple family members--playing together on that one account. We thought that, at minimum, one of us could log in and the rest play as guests. That, apparently, is not possible.

my child pr owner this game for christmas, on origin , no indication for the obligation to have a xbox live gold, he has 12 years old ( we are french) and now he 's very diseaointed . it's not normal i want a dedomagement ( escuse my poor english)

I totally agree with 1st post on this thread. My son has many xbox games and NONE of them are online only and all of them have an option to just play a single player. This game is only for 7+ ,not as someone on my posting said - 10+. These games should have a single game player or co op at home option. My son's game is being returned and I suggest that others do the same. If enough get returned ( and it sounds as though there are lots of problems and dissatisfaction) then maybe EA will sort it out and produce something a lot better. We deserve better than this for the money we pay.

Anyway, EA, maybe a future patch to allow the game to be played locally in split screen or a bot match? That would be nice and this way I'll be finally playing my free copy of PvZ GW. It's a multiplayer game. That's it's only features. PvP and Co-Op. Multiplayer requires an active PS+ sub on PS4 on all games like Xbox 360 and XboxOne, not all accounts need it just a primary needs it on the PS4.

How stupid is Sony? You make us pay for a game, not cheap either. Now you can't play online without an additional subscription. This is how you lose customers really fast. I am about to pack up my PS4 that I bought on Friday and return it. If I pay for the game, I should be able to play all features. Without a Subscription. I wonder if XBOX One has the same issue?

Online games connected to social networking sites like Facebook are relatively new, but they are going viral. For example, FarmVille, a game in which players cultivate a virtual farm, has grown to more than 80 million users since its launch last year.

Kerry Ann King, 41, is a mother of four and a part-time fitness instructor. She unwinds during a rare break between work and family responsibilities inside her Manhattan apartment. But she is not reading or watching TV. She's playing an online game called Bejeweled.

Kind of like Tetris, Bejeweled is a puzzle game of blinking jewels arranged in a grid. The game is found on Facebook, which already links players to their friends. King can compete against her friends for the highest score. She says there's a lot of trash-talking going on.

Though not new, the game is discovering a whole new market by finding players where they are now: on mobile phones, iPods and Facebook. The games are free, but its creators make money off advertising and added features. A hundred million sessions of Bejeweled are played each day.

"What you find is a lot of women who are both working and raising children just have no time for relationships," says Misiek Piskorski, who teaches about online social networking at the Harvard Business School. "But it's not like they wouldn't want to spend more time having these relationships. It's just really, really hard. And this allows them to basically sustain these relationships."

Piskorski says the games aren't taking away from face-to-face interactions. They're just replacing time these women would've spent watching TV or some other media. And for busy King, that's good enough.

This is all possible, of course, because advertisers are increasingly interested in reaching the diverse group of Web users who like to solve puzzles, play word games and decipher mind benders online.

In December, about 65.9 million people played online games, which include puzzle games and action video games. That was up 13 percent from December 2005, when 58.4 million clicked online for a quick round, according to comScore Networks, an Internet research firm. While traditional action games still draw more men than women, casual games are more popular with women and offer the kind of friendly online experience that ad executives say companies want to be associated with.
