Hello friends,

On the surface of things it seems that America has been hopelessly taken over by subversives. It looks that way, anyway. But things are seldom as they appear. Romans 8:28 and Ephesians 1:11 assure us that, at the very least, Almighty God is always and endlessly working quietly in the background, fulfilling his own Sovereign will. Sometimes he acts very overtly.

He is never inactive.

I am hopeful that it was the Spirit of God himself who drew my attention to Psalm 43:3, "Send forth your light and your truth, let them guide me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell." I hope that as we cling to that, and praying it back to the Lord, we will see the light of truth reveal what is going on in America to many who are now blind to it.

Also, I cannot escape the thought that the H1B1 'swine flu' will have an earthquake effect. At the very least, if it sweeps across whole populations suddenly, with even relatively mild symptoms, the social and economic effects could be extremely disruptive. Imagine a third or more of the population debilitated all at once, even for a week or so. That would be bad, but the effects would be unthinkable if the virus were to mutate and become very deadly.

That will play a major role in how things unfold, maybe not. But God is surely answering the prayers of his people who are crying out for freedom.

"Send forth your light and your truth, let them guide me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell."
