do i always have to go thru Metadrive to see the metadata associated with a file?

Forcing someone to always go thru Metadrive to see their files on Google Drive with metadata attached seems very limiting. Any other options??

Nowadays you can only see metadata directly in metadrive application.

We have plans to develop a chrome extension to show metadata in Google Drive but we cannot give you an estimation on when it could be released.
