I am exploring the use of Metadrive for our organization. A colleague created properties for the parent folder, then I navigated to a subfolder, clicked the wrench and chose NOT to preserve the same configuration.

That folder now longer shows the properties available to the parent folder -- but is there a way to reestablish the same properties, to "reinherit" from the parent folder?

Thanks!

Hello,

as I have understood, you have chosen not to preserve the same configuration and you have created some properties in the subfolder. If that's the case, in order to recover the parent folder configuration you need to remove those properties you have created in the subfolder. We are thinking on ways to simplify this situation as it can be confused.

If you want to preserve both configurations, to see the configuration from parent folder you need to open with Metadrive the parent folder and navigate to the subfolder.

Here you have a video explaining folder hierarchy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fNDgJVdTQo

If there are not properties in a folder, Metadrive will check if any parent folder has folder configuration and, if found, it will load this configuration.

I hope it's clear and do not hesitate to contact us again if you have questions on this or others topics.
