Hi,
I installed the older version of the app, version 1.22, which works fine, but I have a 79-80 character message limit. How can I remove it? After clicking UPGRADE, I get the screen I've attached.

Please tell me how to remove the message limit. I don't want to update to the latest version because sending messages wouldn't work.

Hi Adam,

The list of donations is connected to PlayStore as the donations go through their payment system. Version 1.22 is quite old. Have you installed recently or you installed it when it was released and just weren't using it?

We have a newer version that is able to send SMSes but it might not work on your Android. What version of the system are you using? We can try to find a version that has the list enabled and still works on your system.

I installed version 1.25 on my second phone using the same Play Store account.
I recently installed it and purchased "Unlimited Messaging" in the newer version, but unfortunately, the limit hasn't been lifted on the newer version.
The latest version from the Play Store doesn't work for me. When there's an SMS to send, only the SMS app with the entered content appears, but it doesn't send automatically.

I have one phone with Android 5.1.1 (I know, it's very old, but it will work as an SMS gateway) (it runs version 1.22 of the app).

My second phone is Android 10, running version 1.25. It shows the purchase menu, but now I can't buy it because I get the message "You already own this item," but the limit hasn't been lifted.

Are you able to lift the limit for versions 1.22 and 1.25?

Many thanks for the details. We think that the versions you are trying to use are too old to get the proper info from the playstore about the payment and disable the limits. And we can't really change the old versions,- we had to upgrade the code to latest SDKs due to Google policies. So, let's have a look what we can do to support your phones.

The current version 1.57 should work on Android 10, have you tried it? It should also properly disable all the limits. The play store version is not able to send SMSes on its own because of the SDK permissions. To send SMSes automatically you will need to install the free SMS plug-in from

It was designed to work with the latest version of the Email to SMS app on  playstore, which is 1.57. It should work on your Android 10 phone.

We used to have a separate version that worked without the SMS plugin and had to be side-loaded, but not for the latest 1.57 version. For that version the SMS plugin is preferred. We can, however, create a version with the SMS-plugin included if you prefer that approach.

As for the Android 5 phone, we can try to lower the requirements and produce a version that should work on 5 but we have limited options when it comes to testing it. Would you be able to check if it works for you if we created a working 1.57 version for Android 5?

Hi,
After installing smsPlugin-1.2.apk on Android 10, sending text messages works fine.
On Android 5, even after installing smsPlugin-1.2.apk, text messages aren't sent; they're just entered in the sending window.

There's a problem with sending short text messages of 60-70 characters, but if I have, for example, 110 characters, it no longer sends.

I've been testing for two hours now, and the app isn't working properly :(

Okay, I know what the problem is. Polish characters are blocking the app. ą,ę,ś,ć. Once I've deleted all the Polish characters, the messages are sending correctly. Can this be fixed?

Oh, that's interesting. Many thanks for troubleshooting! We can definitely fix this!

Non-English chars are handled differently in SMSes. We probably should have an option to either send them using Unicode or convert non-English characters to English equivalent.

Can you please confirm if the problem is with the new app as well or only with the old app? I didn't get from your email if the old app is not working because of polish characters or because it just doesn't work regardless of characters and regardless if the plugin is installed or not.
