“Helping More Than 500,000 People A Year.” at Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem

Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem is a cause that I feel strongly about. Let me share with you some of the incredible highlights of what the Hospital has accomplished in the last 12 months. 

 

·         Following a request from the Israeli government, Shaare Zedek took over Bikur Cholim Hospital in downtown Jerusalem.

·         As the hospital with the most active maternity department in Israel and most likely in the entire western world, Shaare Zedek expects to welcome more than 21,000 babies into the world in 2013.

·         Shaare Zedek cardiologists were the first in Israel and the second in the world to perform a highly complex valve replacement procedure. This unique operation had only been performed successfully once before. 

·         The Comprehensive Breast Health Complex, a state-of-the-art facility for the identification, diagnosis, and treatment of breast growths and tumors (both benign and malignant), opened at Shaare Zedek. The Complex is directed by Dr. Selwyn Strano, one of Israel’s premiere breast cancer diagnostic experts.

·         Shaare Zedek opened a new In-Vitro Fertilization Unit (IVF), which includes completely renovated facilities.
