Thanks a lot for sharing the videos, now I have started to develop interest on scripting. I need your help here.

Requirement : grep the data of a text.file, if the contents of the file is = 0 and the time stamp is current date send success msg to a log file. else if the value of the is >= 1 and the time stamp is current then send failure msg to the log.

Hi Akav,

Did not get your requirement, to validate file content you can use if option -z.

Please elaborate more.
