I've been using fl studio mobile for a long time and i find it difficult to sound design without third party plugins like Serum etc. So i hereby asking: does third party / vts plugins will be possible for fl studio mobile in the future or not?

If we were to use IntelliJ IDEA with the various Android support plugins, are these plugins the same as what comes with Android Studio?
With this set of plugins will the programs virtually interchangeable?

In the past, there was no functionality in Android Studio that was not present in IntelliJ IDEA with the Android plugin installed. However, since its inception, Android Studio has grown and has diverged more and more from IntelliJ IDEA, especially recently. There are now some plugins bundled in Android Studio that are not compatible with IntelliJ IDEA. One such example is the Android APK Support which was first released in June 2019. Moreover, there are some Android based plugins bundled with Android Studio that are not even listed on the JetBrains Plugin site (at this time) such as "Android Games", "Android NDK Support", "App Links Assistant", among others.

Basically, Android studio has more "branding" for Android than IntelliJ IDEA. And since it is just an Android IDE, it can be more "focused". As I mentioned, there is nothing you can do in Android Studio that you can't do in Intellij IDEA. But the opposite is not true. There are a number of (non-Android) things you can do in IntelliJ IDEA (both the community and ultimate editions) that you cannot do in Android Studio.

Regarding the question on whether or not Android studio can use IntelliJ IDEA plugins, that's going to depend on the plugin and what components (within the IntelliJ plugin API) it leverages. When you write a plugin, you have to declare (in your plugin descriptor) what API dependencies you use. Some examples are com.intellij.modules.lang, com.intellij.modules.java, AntSupport, and Git4Idea. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of possibilities - including other plugins. So if a plugin (or one of it dependencies) ends up using something in the plugin API that is not included in Android Studio, that plugin will not work. For example, one plugin I wrote (that has absolutely nothing to do with mobile development), lists on the JetBrains Plugin page as being compatible with Android Studio because it only depends on com.intellij.modules.lang and com.intellij.modules.java. So while it can go both ways, it is more likely that (due to IntelliJ IDEA having more components installed) a plugin may only be compatible in IntelliJ IDEA as a result of a dependency on something that is unique to that plugin.

You can host IAA plugins inside the FLS Mobile app. So what happens to those tracks when you hop over to the desktop? I believe they're rendered down to audio tracks. But it's been a really, really long time since I've used it, so I could be wrong.

Probably the best cross-platform gig in town is Korg Gadget if you use macOS on your laptop/desktop. It's not the cheapest option but considering you're in the market for Cubase Pro it's worth considering. Korg Gadget for macOS has all the same gadgets that you get in the iOS variant but you will have to purchase the premium plugins again for desktop. However cost aside, it's close to a one 2 one translation. Many folk have moved away from Gadget on iOS but it still has many advantages that are worth considering.

I have mentioned this elsewhere but I have done a lot of testing of apps between iOS and M1 (which I assume we are talking about here) since getting my Mac. Here are a list of apps you can use in GarageBand on iOS and then open the same project on the Mac in GarageBand or Logic and have the plugins and presets preserved:

For a long time I really struggled making music on the iPad as I was trying to replace the Mac as I was basically in the same position as the OP: kids. They took my time, my energy and my studio space!

Probably digressive now but i meant to say: each track within the FLSM project (within each FLSM plugin instance) can be routed to a separate FL Studio track - in other words your mobile project tracks, midi and audio, can be routed to separate tracks in FL Studio

I only have a Windows PC (for now), so everything with Logic, Korg Gadget or opening iOS apps on an M1 Macbook won't work. I think this also means that third party plugins can't be automatically transferred going from one OS to the other.
I think AU AUv3 can work but VST AUv3 does not. If someone knows otherwise, please tell me!

The FL Studio Plugin version is Free for all FL Studio owners. As usual, we reserve the right to change these terms. So if you own FL Studio Mobile (for Android, iOS or Windows App) register it to your IL account and you will continue to have free access to the FL Plugin version, should we decide to sell it as an add-on purchase (for which we have no plan at the moment). Put simply: All FL Studio owners get this plugin for free. Registering your mobile version to your IL account will guarantee it stays that way for you.

The term "plugin" is what's tripping you up. FL Studio has native plugins that work only inside FL Studio. It also has VST and AU plugins that can be used in other hosts. Some even have a free native version and an additional paid VST/AU available. All are referred to at times as "plugins". Lastly there's the FL Studio VST/AU wrapper itself, which allows you to run the full DAW as a plugin in other hosts.

The combination of the nanoKEY Studio with KORG Gadget is the ultimate combination for mobile performance. The nanoKEY Studio supports wireless connection via Bluetooth MIDI, so your iPhone can instantly transform into a powerful music production tool. KORG Gadget has a special native mode exclusively for the nanoKEY Studio. Simply by connecting KORG Gadget, the most appropriate controls for MIDI assignment on your nanoKEY Studio are completed automatically. At home, in a coffee shop, in transit, or outdoors, you can quickly immerse yourself in making music in minimal space.

This video shows us how to integrate FL Studio Mobile with the standard FL Studio desktop application. For users of the mobile app, this is definitely useful, as it allows you to seamlessly transport projects between platforms.

I updated Universal Control Panel today and now my studio mobile 192 is Unresponsive. The light just stays red when hooked up. Doesn't even show up in the control panel anymore. It used to show up and say "DSP v(Invalid) / USB v0.00 / Bootloader v0.00" tried different usb cables and ports. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers can't seem to get it to work now. Also tried to update firmware again but it just says "the attached hardware is already up to date. The ctrl+alt and clicking update doesn't work to force it to update again.

Because so many developers are designing their software to support AUv3, there are many applications and plugins out there that can be used in GarageBand iOS and other mobile DAWs (other than FL Studio Mobile).

When creating a new app, some Flutter IDE plugins ask for an organization name in reverse domain order, something like com.example. Along with the name of the app, this is used as the package name for Android, and the Bundle ID for iOS when the app is released. If you think you might ever release this app, it is better to specify these now. They cannot be changed once the app is released. Your organization name should be unique.
