Extension stopped working after August 2020 update

Hello,

After the latest update, the extension stopped working; clicking on it does nothing.
Also, the preferences got switched to the default after installation.

Reproducible in Chrome 84.0.4147.105 and Edge 84.0.522.52.

Thank you. I have managed to replicate this error on one of my machines now, and I'm investigating. I hope to publish a fix soon.

Ron, this is free software I develop in my free time, and I don't have a whole lot of that. Yes, there are a couple of bugs in version 0.5.2. SuperSorter has had bugs for 5 days after about 10 years of working pretty well. Please be patient, tolerate the unsorted bookmarks for a few days, and ease off with all the insults.

Version 0.5.3 is now published. Hopefully it will resolve the issues some people have had with 0.5.2.

0.5.3 works for me, sorting (now correclty treating German umlauts) as well as finding duplicates. Tested on Windows 10 machines with Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Edge Dev and Brave Beta. Settings stick now and are no longer reset. Thanks for the great work.

Seems I was too fast with my feedback earlier today. "Find duplicates" does find several duplicates, but not all. I created for testing purpose one on "other bookmarks" level and in a deeper bookmark folder structure. This duplicate was not detected, although name and URL are identical.

I noticed that the settings seem to be reset and the "find duplicates" button does not do anything. Restarting the browser helped, settings are back and the button works (except that not all duplicates are found).

i saw in another thread it doesn't see https and http bookmarks as the same. Any chance this is your issue?
