In 1600 Leonardo da Vinci projected a prototype of today's clock.
His studies about the laws of motion led him to the design of this clock which uses the chain with weights and grooved wheels to calculate the cooling time.

In the original clock the motion was regulated by the weights. Later on, these weights were repalced by a spring which once wound provides the necessary force for the motion. This was one of the first "time-gauges", the hours were given in roman numbers and the clock had one hand only.

We are proud to introduce this authentic reproduction built following the great Leonardo's design.

The clock is assembled part in wood and part in iron.
