>> Richard Powell – Running Workshops: The Benefits, How To and Get Involved

Richard will be talking about running workshops, he has run 4 jQuery
workshops and wants to inspire you to run your own. Perhaps you
already blog, perhaps you present… that’s great but Richard believes
giving a workshop can be even better.

Richard will:

* Talk about the benefits to you and the community when you run a
workshop
* Show you how to run a workshop
* Share his personal experiences.

Richard, like us, would love to see a thriving workshop community in
the north east and a number of people are already working to make one…
we want you to be a part of it.

>> Ryan Foster – Lean eCommerce, Using Shopify and Working Internationally from the North East

Ryan Foster is a User Experience Designer with over 12 years
experience developing web sites and web applications. Since setting up
Ryan Foster Design in 2009, Ryan has worked with bootstrapped and
venture backed startups across the US and UK, specialising in the
design and build of ecommerce and SaaS. He is also a consultant and
module leader on the eCommerce Business Program at Hyper Island. Ryan
will talk about Lean eCommerce, rapid prototyping and testing your
assumptions, learning as quickly as possible what your customers
really want to buy online. He’ll discuss his experiences working with
Shopify and some of the most talked about startups of the last 12
months including DODOcase and Pebble, the customisable smartwatch that
raised over $10million on Kickstarter.
