RE: Human Resource Manager
A Full-Time Permanent position is available for a Human Resource Manager (40hrs per week). The Human Resources Manager is responsible for recommending new personnel policies to the Management Team, for ensuring that existing personnel policies are understood and correctly administered and for assisting the Management Team and Supervisors in the human resources function with their staff.
The qualifications for the position are:
1. Certificate in Human Resource Management and or equivalent education and experience with a minimum of one year experience working in the Human Resources sector an asset
2. Experience in recruitment, screening, placement, retention and recognition of staff and volunteers
3. Strong computer skills and a knowledge of a variety of computer software and database formats i.e. Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Internet and Email
4. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and to manage your own time is critical
5. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
6. Sound teamwork skills and the ability to build relationships and partnerships
7. Ability to obtain a clear Vulnerable Sector Search
8. Ability to interpret current Labour Standards and legislation
