Job Description:

SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing assistance to the Human Resources Consulting team as it relates to areas of recruitment and selection, disability management, interpretation and application of company practices, legislative guidelines, conflict resolution and training.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure Team Member Relations are consistent with the company’s Mission, Vision and Values.
2. Ensures that all HR programs, management practices and the organizational culture
are aligned with the company’s strategic and tactical business plans.
3. Partners with Team Leaders to diagnose HR issues and recommend specific HR solutions to drive desired organizational changes.
5. Assist Managers with the coaching and counselling process where necessitated by performance issues.
6. Responsible for supporting hiring managers with recruitment and selection process (sourcing, interviewing, offer preparation)
7. Provide Human Resources policy and procedures guidance and technical support to Team Members.
8. Prepare reports, correspondence for members of HR team time to time.
9. Manage and support the Disability cases for the region.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. One to three years of job-related experience
2. Excellent knowledge of Provincial Employment Legislation
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Excellent interpersonal, planning and organization skills
5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
6. Strong computer skills
7. Ability to coordinate and build effective teamwork skills
8. Ability to travel between sites
9. Working towards CHRP designation.
