Kung fu yoga? Will be this two arts together in this movie?

Does anybody know if Jackie will really shooting movie KUNG FU YOGA in automn this year...We can read something about that, but what is that mean; Chinese martial art Kung fu, and the art of indian Yoga? Will Jackie perform also some yoga movements or just co-actress? Or we must wait for some more info about this project. Bye.

Plot - 

An Indian professor at a Chinese university, is enlisted to help a Chinese archaeologist to unearth treasures from the Magadha era, dating back to the rule of King Bimbisara (544-492 BCE). The two then set out on a treasure hunt, which begins in the dynasty of King Bimbisara. He ruled the Magadh Empire from around 542 BC to 492 BC. He was known for his cultural achievements and was a great friend and protector of Gautam Buddha. The professor and the archaeologist will travel back in time and interact with the royals. They will also fight off demons from their past.

It is extremely unlikely this will film this year. Jackie is starting Railroad Tigers in October (according to the latest reports).

I read somewhere the foreigner was also set to be filmed in October. Though Railroad Tigers had an official announcement already. It seems this one is more likely to be filmed in October I guess.

there is a difference between 'start production' and 'start filming'. There are months of pre-production work before a movie starts filming. Railroad Tigers is in pre-production now. Filming is due to start in October. Kungfu Yoga - is in casting ie it is not even in pre-production yet.

For feature films, pre-production only begins when other milestones have been met such as financing, screenplay, casting and major staffing. 

So for Kungfu Yoga - we can tick financing, script and director, the only person who has been cast is Jackie. They are apparently searching for co-stars at the moment hence all the news about this and that person being approached. So there is still a lot that needs to be done.

Okay...thanks for this info. However I like the plot and hope that - if not this year - Jackie will done everything that need to be done for starting pre-production, etc...as soon as possible he can.

I don´t like the time traveling thing in the plot. Sounds a bit like The Myth. I think it´s better when they stay in one timeline....

With Stanley Tong involved in the project I suppose it is a bit more like The Myth than not.
