Festival of Globe canceled?

I bought a ticket for the FOG Awards in San Jose for August 15. Ticketmaster then e-mailed me to say it was canceled and they would return my money. I can't find any news story saying it was canceled. Does anyone know anything? I was looking forward to seeing Jackie get the award and am so disappointed!

I have no idea what ticketmaster is on about. There is nothing to say that the event is cancelled and the FOGSV Facebook page is updated regularly (12 hours ago was the last post) with news on the event.

Perhaps you should contact them directly and ask?

you can buy a ticket directly from them as well. Perhaps that would be better than from ticketmaster?

Called SAP center. I was told the FOG awards were moved to another location and tickets needed to be repurchased. By this time I had canceled my flight so..not going.

oh dear I'm sorry :( you can't rebook everything? You have 6 days still - should be enough time to organise a flight and a ticket.

I was going to fly in Sat. and out Sun. morning. No more flights match that schedule. On a brighter note, I am going to China again Aug. 22-Sept 1 and will get into the JC Filmm Gallery this time. Last year it was closed when I got there on a Monday. I don't have much luck, huh?

Did Jackie Chan actually attend? I can't find any postings or foto's. nog on google and not on the FOG FB site. It's very quiet around Jackie Chan the last month. A bit weird as about the first 6 months there were postings almost every day. Though, I'm glad he can take it a bit easier not to travel almost 24/7 and can take it easy

Jackie is busy in Beijing at the moment.

It does not appear as if he went to FOG. I'm puzzled as to how they can say he was going and advertise he was going and then not say a word when he doesn't.

It's a good thing then that Sarah K couldn't change her flight and all. Her luck was already changing for the better:-)

I hope Tianjin is further away from Beijing than it seemed on the map.

The explosions were picked up on seismographs in Beijing - but I don't know how much of an indication of distance that actually is.
