Hello,

I wonder if it is a shared concern, but I would appreciate if the balancing of script editing in Script Editor could be user controllable.

It might be a matter of getting used to it and to adjust accordingly, but after a few months of SuperCard scripting, I am still getting confused by the auto balance while editing long and complicated scripts.

I am trying to develop some tricks, but I feel it would be useful if the user coud trigger manually the balancing of the script when the editing is finished.

If I remember well, under HyperCard this task was performed with a tab keydown or when quitting a script.

Maybe is it already possible to modify a parameter to do this, but I couldn't find anything for this in the documentation.

Typing Option-Tab should toggle auto-indenting off and on.

Hello Mark,

Typing Option-Tab should toggle auto-indenting off and on.

I taught I read that somewhere, but can't find it back in the manual!

Many thanks

Is there a keyboard command that will close and save script editor window like there was in Hypercard?

As previously discussed ... is there a digital users guide that has the keyboard commands and more depth than SC help?

The Enter key.

I don't think so.

I don't have an Enter key on my Apple keyboards anymose, just a Return key, which gives a line feed in the script.

Or install Karabiner (https://pqrs.org/osx/karabiner/) and assign enter to the right-hand option key, which is used seldom if at all.
